3 Easy Steps to Re-program Your Garage Door

Don’t let the term “re-program your garage door opener” scare you and fill you with fear, it really is a simple task that is quick and easy! (although if you want to tell your friends and family it was long, tedious and difficult then go ahead…)
If you have an older style garage door opener, then the first thing you will need to do is replace your batteries. If you don’t do this, the batteries may run out of steam and you will need to re-program again.
Once you’ve done that, here are the next steps:
1. Use a ladder or chair to take a good look at your garage door opener’s ceiling mount unit and then press the “Learn” button.
2. 30 seconds later push and hold the button on your remote and you should see a light on the ceiling mounted unit flash.
3. If you have a keyless entry pad, then please enter your new 4 digit passcode followed by the enter button
It really is that easy! Following these three steps will work for most common garage door openers, however if this does not work your door opener then you may need to purchase a new universal garage door opener. These are not expensive to buy and they will work with every model possible, even the older styles!
